The Department is now accepting scholarship applications for 2013/2014 Academic Year

This application serves for all scholarships offered by the Department of Geological Sciences, both undergraduate and graduate department majors. Submit one application per academic year. If you submitted an application last year you must resubmit one for this year. Applications are accepted only during the first month of the Fall semester. Scholarships are awarded on various criteria usually reflecting grades and academic achievements, student and non-student memberships and activities, financial need, other financial assistance awards, career aspirations, and progress towards a degree. Students are encouraged to apply for University scholarships and other financial assistance. If you are currently receiving financial aid you must give a copy of your financial aid award letter to the Department Office (GMCS237).

We strongly encourage every geology major to get an application in ASAP. It only takes a few minutes to fill out. Application deadline is September 30th, 2013.
