Work Experience

Geology 101L (Introduction to Geology, Lab)

Geology 200 (Geologic Inquiries and Problem Solving)

Worked as a production geologist searching for uphole potential in a carbonate/siliciclastic deep gas field in the Delaware Basin, West Texas. My work included: (a) intense analysis of well logs (paper and graphical) where 13 formations were correlated across ~20 wells (b) constructing 4 top of reservoir contour maps and 3 isopach maps of potential pay zones (c) generating 3 cross sections across the field with current/cemented perforation and production data (d) analysis of cumulative/annual/daily production data for each reservoir (e) learning Stratworks and SDI Montage for presentation and analysis purposes.

Geology 306 (Structural Geology and Introduction to Field Methods)

Measured, logged and collected >100 samples in two ~50 meter sections of the Peale chert. Each sample was subsequently sliced and thin sectioned. Twenty samples were analyzed for major, trace and rare earth elemental abundances. Analyzed each thin section microscopically.

Teacher for Mad Science, an after school education science program held at various elementary schools.

Interim Social Studies teacher at Piedmont Middle School in Charlotte, NC. Taught for one semester, which required the dedication, responsibility and motivation of a full-time teacher.

Spent seven weeks mapping five different areas in the mid-west (New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado).
